Educational Qualification
M.Sc in Physics (2016) from Panjab University, Chandigarh.
B.Sc in Physics (2014) from Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Group Member: Since January 2018- December 2022.
Area of Research: Her research focuses on the investigation of electronic structure and transport properties of open-shell organic molecular systems for spintronics applications. She is using various density and wavefunction-based multi-reference methods to design stable organic diradicals with strong ferromagnetic exchange interactions. Her goal is to eventually use the stable radicals for device applications and propose new concepts to inculcate spin polarization in molecular devices.
Research Keywords: Spintronics, Quantum Transport, Single Molecule Junctions, NEGF-DFT, BS-DFT, Multi-reference methods.
Awards and Achievements:
1. Best Poster Prize in Theoretical Chemistry Symposium (TCS-2019) held at BITS Pilani.
2. Best Oral Presentation Award at Spins in Molecular Systems (SIM-2019) held at IISC Bangalore.
3. Sponsored by DST with ITS Grant to attend the 19th International Conference of Density Functional Theory and Applications (DFT-2022) held in Brussels, Belgium.
